Last November I was given the opportunity to start a financial radio show on Toginet, a producer of internet radio shows. With no radio experience whatsoever, I was a bit apprehensive, but just decided to go for it since it seemed like an excellent opportunity.

Out of the many professions represented on Toginet, I am the only financial advisor. My children think it’s pretty cool their mom is on ITunes – and anyone can download my Intelligent Investing shows to their Ipod for free to listen to anytime.

There was one thing asked of me – to start a blog, since most of the show hosts already had one.  In January I started FinancialMom.com, which has already received more hits than my traditional website received all last year. I have since discontinued my traditional website icon smile A Note on Being Grateful .

I participated in a Chamber of Commerce networking event today, and people were surprised by the fact a financial advisor from this small city would have a radio show and a blog.

I am loving doing the radio show, much more than I ever expected.  Everyone I am working with doing this show, from the Toginet producers, to all the radio hosts, have been incredibly supportive.

I am sharing this to encourage all of you to grab opportunities when they are presented to you. I am so grateful and blessed.
