About Pamela Otten
The Family
I live in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, and have been married to Scott for twenty-nine years. Scott has been a basketball referee for over thirty years, a football referee for at least fifteen years, and last fall went back to school again for a degree in Industrial Management. We started volunteering as marriage mentors for Great Marriages for Sheboygan County this past year, and are learning as much about our own marriage as we are teaching other couples.
This picture of our children is a current favorite, and shows from left to right:
Alyssa, Jake’s wife (newlyweds!); Jake, our 22 year old son; Ben, our 20 year old son; Nathan, our 24 year old son; and Lynae, Nathan’s wife (YAY, two daughters!)
Nathan and Lynae are living in Arkansas - Lynae graduated in May with a Masters in Social Work, and Nathan is working on his Masters in Marriage and Family Counseling. Jake graduated in May from John Brown University with a Construction Management degree. Ben just finished his sophomore year at John Brown University, studying Business. Alyssa graduated in May from John Brown University with a Family & Human Services degree.
The Beginning
I was born and raised in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, and attended Sheboygan Christian grade school, and Sheboygan County Christian High School. I graduated from UW-Milwaukee with a BA in Business, specializing in Management Information Systems (which explains my continuing fascination with all things tech and web related).
The New Beginning
I have been in the financial services industry for six years, and joined McKenzie Financial Services as a Financial Advisor in January of 2009. I really feel I have found my calling in financial services. Having made plenty of financial mistakes myself, and watching others do the same, I firmly believe people simply need to be educated in the truth about finances and the world of investing. I am one of those people who wishes I knew thirty years ago what I know now.
I am certified as a Qualified Kingdom Advisor. Kingdom Advisors exists to engage, equip, and empower Christian financial professionals to communicate Biblical wisdom to their clients, apply professional principles in their practices, and live out their faith in their marketplace for Kingdom impact. It is exciting to fully integrate Biblical beliefs with my investment philosophy.
I also enjoy teaching financial wellness workshops, and am available to speak to your organization, company, or church group.
