If you are like me, and have a big attic, or some other type of big storage (aka excuse for keeping stuff way too long), this Saturday is an opportunity to clean house and get rid of your hot mess.

As a post-Money Smart Week event, there will be a shred truck at Sheboygan’s Memorial Mall parking lot (east of Sears) this Saturday, October 23, from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm.

Bring your old confidential documents to be shredded on site, free of charge. To help you decide what you should keep and what should go, the Financial Planning Association’s website has a detailed paperwork retention guide right here.

This event will also be accepting your unused cell phones to be recycled. All personal information will be removed before recycling.

Clean out those file cabinets, boxes, and bins that are overflowing with old paperwork.  Become more financially organized, and reduce your chances of identity theft by shredding your old documents!

Please call Consumer Credit Counseling at 920-458-3784 if you have any questions about this event.
